silence music video

silence music video

The "Silence" music video first went into production in February 2025 where Sophi was determined to have a summer release. “Silence” the song was written back in 2023 and was nothing but a catchy chorus Sophi would sing to herself in the shower. The song was not based on any actual event, it was just a tune that got stuck in her head one day. In 2024, Evan Myint and Josh Walker heard Sophi sing karaoke at a bar during a company coworker outing at Barneys. The following day at Starbucks, their work, Josh and Evan asked Sophi to join them in making music together. How could she refuse?

The three of them first met up at Evan’s apartment in Westwood on July 3rd 2024 and Sophi sang them the song that had been looping in her head on repeat for over a year. The two boys knew they had a hit on their hands.

Since then, the song went through multiple rewrites as we were experimenting with different sounds and instruments, trying to define who we were through our music. A special shout out to the talented Sofia Aguirre for helping us find the angelic harmonies that made the song feel complete. Finally, we passed the song along to the multi-talented Noe Cervantes who beautifully mixed the song… until Sophi decided to scratch the vocals entirely and start new. The song was then given to Jack Stenzel who stunningly mixed Silence into the version you hear today.

Sophi then decided it was time to produce a video and that's when the incomparable Ava Alexiades was brought onto the team. The two of them drafted mood and storyboards to flesh out the vision. Slowly, but surely - the two built an entire team to help make this dream come true. It takes a lot of dedication and passion to produce a project such as this one and Sophi's biggest extent of gratitude to everyone who touched this project - thank you.

The video was shot over the weekend of June 7th and 8th and released June 27th 2025.

  • Zanlin Myint (Evan)

(He/Him) Music Producer / Music Director / Instrument Lover

Hey! I’m Evan — a music producer, director, and all-around music nerd who loves turning ideas into sounds. I started out jamming with my university band (shoutout to those crazy late-night rehearsals!) and ended up falling in love with performing on stage and making music that actually means something.

I produce and write songs that are a mix of feeling, rhythm, and a little bit of chaos (in the best way). I play a bunch of instruments — if it makes sound, I’ll probably mess around with it until it turns into something cool.

My style? Always evolving. I don’t box myself in. I just follow what feels good, whether it’s chill and emotional or upbeat and weird. I believe music doesn’t have to be perfect — it just has to be real.

Still growing, still experimenting, and always down to collaborate. Let’s make something awesome together.
