E006 THE OREGON TRAIL

Episode Description

The Oregon Trail is consistently taught in U.S. history classes throughout the country. But the version we’ve gotten from our textbooks and video games hasn’t taken everything in account when retelling what the journey was like. How did so-called Oregon Fever take root in America, and who did this country have to trample to do so?

Listen to this episode of The Everything Bagel Podcast for the news headlines from early to mid-April, an examination of America’s history in Oregon and The Oregon Trail, or our Smoke Break segment, where we discuss new pop music (from Lady Gaga’s Mayhem, Ariana Grande’s brighter days ahead, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s I Said I Love You First, to Rachel Chinouriri) as well as Sophi’s Coachella predictions and feedback.
